WikiHouse is an innovative method reinvent the way we make homes. It is being developed by architects, designers, engineers, inventors, manufacturers and builders, collaborating to develop the best, simplest, most sustainable, high-performance building technologies, which anyone can use and improve.*
Our first air test has taken place on this complex passivhaus refurbishment / retrofit and we are pleased to have surpassed the standard achieving 0.4 air changes per hour.
The use of Passive House components in refurbishments of existing buildings leads to extensive improvements with reference to thermal comfort, economic efficiency, absence of structural damage and climate protection.
This result came through a very strict regime of QA and Inspection & Testing. Proactive and collaborative scheme management and problem solving are a key aspect of this project, the HAML site and Project management teams are working diligently together with the experienced Architects on Passivhaus standard Anne Thorne Architect in order to achieve the standard.
